Pack Clothing Layers
A trick often used for travel is to have thin layers of clothing.
- You can add layers if you are cold, or remove them if you are too hot due to weather, moving indoors etc.
- Layers let you dress up or down and a different layer can change the style or color of your look.
- Choose layers that interchange well to provide more looks.
Dress Appropriately
- Take into consideration local laws, customs, and attitudes. Consider how this may negatively affect those around you, or inconvenience yourself.
- Consider your safety when selecting your clothing which may gather unwanted attention, thieves, etc.
- Dress to the occasion (dress codes etc) and for the occasion (climate, terrain etc).

Gadgets
It is an easy trap to pack too many gadgets when you travel. But then it can be really annoying when you own a perfect gadget for the job at hand and you left it at home... or even worse, you have to buy another one while you are away. These are the tough decisions a traveller has to make :) Here is our list to help you figure out what you need to take on your trip:
Health

Laundry
For a trip that last longer the amount of clothing you are willing to take, you will need to consider how you are going to deal with doing your laundry.
I hate having to deal with laundry on a trip, so I tend to take more clothes so I can go longer without dealing with the task. It is such a nice feeling after the laundry is done though, as it means I don't have to think about it for a while. On the other scale, you can pack light and even do some nightly washes, taking advantage of quick drying materials.
If you plan on getting someone to do it all for you, then you do not need to think much further, although you will need to find an acceptable place to do your laundry. This can save you time and reduce the items you will need to take.
Doing your own laundry can be for modesty reasons, to save money, reduce the chances of harm to your clothes, or them being lost etc.
Here are some tips and items you might need if you are performing laundry related tasks on your trip:
